Pardon all of the upcoming posts… Now that I have my computer back and it is updated I have some catching up to do! 🙂
The week before our Purim preparations we had a fun week discussing the circus and clowns.
We had a special guest welcomed to the school (thank you Ms. Sylvia for inviting him!!) to teach us all about juggling. We learned tricks and tips on how to juggle one, two, and even three balls. Most importantly we all learned that even the greatest jugglers have humble beginnings as someone enthusiastic about learning something new and through practice, practice, and MORE practice they can become experts. What a fun way to learn such an important life lesson!
We made giant circus balls by gluing tissue paper in circles and then we let the kids ‘balance’ their favorite circus themed animal by gluing it on top. We also made circus clown drawings and provided them with some snazzy clown hats that we made by q-tip painting on triangles and then finished with pom pop hat toppers and noses.
We made lion masks! (also a fun getting ready for Purim activity!!)
And we have to thank our Doobonim friends for sharing their indoor circus with us! They had trapeze set ups, been bag toss games, and even a station to throw a lion through a flaming hoop! (No lions were harmed in our circus)
We had so much fun! It was a great introduction into some of our fun Purim concepts and it was fun to do so many activities!
