Tomorrow our class has a full day!
Arrival time and drop off will take place as usual. Then around 9:00 a.m. we will be celebrating the holiday of Shavuot. We will be dressed in white and we will be marching to the Main Sanctuary to drop off our cans of fruit that will symbolize our first fruits from the spring harvest. I have a few extra cans already packed in my bag, and I know this blog is late in the evening… so if anyone forgets their can I will hopefully have one for you!
After that our kofim fun begins! If you would like for us to change your little one out of their white clothes, feel free to bring a change of clothes. We will change and then have a light snack. Then we will be heading out to the field for Kofim 1 field day! (the first ever event like it as to my knowledge!!) 🙂 Field day will involve some games, agility, and loads of fun. We may also try to incorporate some water play depending on how hot the day is, so feel free to send in your child’s bathing suit and towel (water day items) My apologies in advance for not a large amount of notice regarding water day… We actually just thought of it today when we were thinking about how warm it may be. I will bring extra towels with me too! A big thank you to Coach Marla for letting us borrow some of her coaching gear!
After our field games we will be enjoying an ice cream party!
We are so thankful to all of our parents that have come together to really give our kids a great end of the year celebration!
Ms. Betty and I have tried to pack up any artwork, cubby space items, left over diapers and any other items in the classroom for you to take home and we will be sending that all home on your child’s last day.
I know that I can speak for both of us when we say it was an absolute joy to spend our days with your children. They have touched us, each in their own ways. I feel particularly blessed to work with many great families and wonderful, special children. Thank you so much for all that you do… and we wish you the best summer ever!
Here are some recent photos of some of the things we have been doing in class lately…
