We are moving on to our winter themes now that Hanukkah is over.
Our class was responsible for the sculptures in preschool entry way this month and we decided to tie it into our winter theme. Today and tomorrow we are talking about penguins, and we couldn’t think of a better activity than to make our own penguins!
Our kofim glued cotton balls, lace, yarn and other white fabrics onto recycled cardboard to make a snowy scene. Then we let the kids stuff a recycled water bottle full of cotton balls. The kids all really enjoyed this part and they had no idea they were working on their fine motor skills at the same time! 😉 Then we talked about the physical features of penguins and we helped them glue on beaks, eyes and wings.
Please check out the finished project next time you are at the front of the preschool!
