Highlights of the Past Week:
We had a very short week but we started working on our decorations for our sukkah and learning about how the sukkah is built and what’s inside.
Coming Up Next Week:
We will continue to learn about the different fruits and work on making fruit to decorate the big sukkah outside and one we are making in the class room. On Tuesday we have a 12:00 dismissal. No school on Wednesday, in observance of Yom Kippur. I hope everyone has an easy fast.
We will finish making our lulav and etrog. We will also practice cutting with scissors and make a paper sukkah place-mat to use when we eat in the sukkah.
Home Learning Opportunities:
Have your child name the fruits and veggies in the grocery store or in the grocery store ad pictures, then practice cutting out some fruit and veggie pictures. Tearing them out is okay too! Tearing also helps build finger strength. Send your cut or torn out fruits and veggies into school so we can see them too!
