In preparation for Shoobee Doobee Shabbat we spent the week talking about our families and our homes. Our class was excited to share the Shabbat songs and movements that we had been practicing with our families, and we were excited to show our families how much we enjoy the traditions that our families take part in! We were given new books on families and taking care of babies as part of our new curriculum, as well as new baby dolls that came with bedding and diapers.
We used brown and orange paint to finger paint what our houses look like to us..
We also combined using play dough with tongue depressor sticks to mold what our homes looked like to us. In the resources that the school provides for continued training Ms. Betty and I have learned how important daily contact with dough, sand, and water is. We are making an effort to have this readily available and also think of new ways to them!
